Donations
The Kiwanis LGBT+ Club of Southern California is a local service organization comprised of a variety of individuals who volunteer and serve the LGBTQ+ youth in various capacities. Many LGBTQ+ youth live without the support of their family, simply because they’re not “normal”. But really, is that any way to live? A donation to our club will support our cause to help the LGBTQ+ youth live their best life and to ensure they know that there are people out there who do love and support them.
One of our continuous projects is our Backpack Drive. We provide both Back to School backpacks and Winter backpacks.
To sponsor a backpack for an LGBTQ+ student, please choose the $20 donation option. This will supply one backpack filled with school supplies, earbuds, snacks, a Kiwanis bracelet, and stickers! During the winter, our backpacks are geared more towards the less fortunate LGBTQ+ youth who may need some extra love and support to get through the cooler months. They are filled with snacks, a fleece blanket, socks, gloves, a beanie, etc.
Another one of our projects is the Free Binder Program. This program is dedicated towards providing binders for transgender, non-binary, or other gender-nonconforming individuals 13-24 years old who cannot afford a binder, or cannot safely obtain a binder themselves. To sponsor an individual for one binder, please choose the $50 donation option.
